Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father had a Jewish background. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder and her family moved to Mendocino County in California at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. They didn't even have electricity. Television books was her only source of entertainment to pass the time. Eventually, she began to read extensively. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes at the age of Ryder was twelve years old, at the American Conservatory Theatre. In the year she turned 15years old, Ryder was offered her first part onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder was bullied throughout high school. She hoped that the acting profession would alter that. Sadly that didn't happen. But she continued to chase her dreams. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder went on to have numerous roles that were successful. In 1993, Ryder was in the running two times for Academy Awards.

Joe (1970) was auditioned in New York by two recent Catholic University graduates. Chris Sarandon, an actor who had trained for the role, was ostracized.
