Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian, and activist. After moving to America, she was born in Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as an actor for children. She came to prominence for her roles in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since in 2020. Her commercial appearances were not the only thing she was involved in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot series called New Warriors. Vayntrub is an Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native, and also a Jew. When she was just two she emigrated with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. At the age of five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit her sophomore year and obtained a GED. After that, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.

Joe (1970) was auditioned in New York by two recent Catholic University graduates. Chris Sarandon, an actor who had trained for the role, was ostracized.
